Stage to Page Announcement!
I am happy to announce that I have joined Stage to Page society as Associate Director. Helmed by my friend and colleague, Johnny Trinh, we are joining forces to collaborate and incorporate more theatrical elements to Stage to Page’s rich artistic practice of interdisciplinary work. Our inaugural program is Pho-miglia, which will have a staged read in late March of 2025.
Pho-miglia - by Johnny Trinh and Trevor Copp. I will be the Director and Workshop Facilitator for this exciting new piece currently in-development for a 2025 workshop. We are the proud recipients of the City of Vancouver’s CASC grant.
Past but Ongoing:
Developing Your Story and Creating Adaptations Through Archive and Improv. Initial Workshop: October 16, 2023. I was a workshop leader for Bard on the Beach’s Workshop series where I brought what I learned at La MaMa in Spoleto, Italy to Vancouver artists. I combine my learnings of creating artistic works though the Unhappy Archives as led by Keng Sen Ong with improvisational techniques of Theatre of the Oppressed as taught by Iman Aoun.
My pronouns are she/her and most of my work takes place on the unceded, ancestral territories of the Coast Salish Peoples, otherwise known as Vancouver, BC. I am an actor, director, producer, educator, and writer. I have been involved in the performing arts for over 30 years. I value integrity in my work, and believe that utilizing compassion, good listening skills, and making space for different voices that foster respect is what makes an artist’s life excel. I value the power of learning, and I do the best I can every day.
I participated in a symposium for directors and educators and learned from four master directors from around the world.
